She started out by participating in the Femina Miss India Contest. She was born on May 10, 1981 in Surat, India. She has acted in Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, Hindi films. Although she started out in Telugu movies, she became famous after the Tamil film Engal Anna opposite Vijayakanth.
She starred in the song "Arjuna Arjuna" along with Sarath Kumar, which ended up as a big hit. Being tremendously well endowed and very voluptuous, she's constantly cast in almost all her films, entirely for skin show.
Her screen name for the first two Telugu movies was Bhairavi.
She was crowned Miss Surat in 1998 and came fourth in the Miss India contest during the year 2001 where Celina Jaitley was crowned Miss India. It brought Namitha roles in the Telugu film industry.
After entering Tollywood, she immediately grabbed the attention of Telugu film lovers with Sontham and acted in Gemini as Bhairavi though the films didn’t fare well in the box office.
