Her first movie Nammal was released in 2002. The film also starred Jishnu and Renuka Menon. The film was a big success.
Then in 2003, she became the part of big hit movies like Chronic Bachelor, C.I.D.Moosa, Swapnakoodu etc.
Her first Tamil film originally offered was Koodal Nagar opposite Bharath but shelved due to some technical difficulties, but completed and released recently in April 2007. 
Her first released Tamil film Chithiram Pesuthadi was a huge success. After that she was flooded with offers in Kollywood. 
The subsequent Tamil films she did are Kizhakku Kadalkarai Salai and Veyyil. Veyyil was a huge hit in Tamil and her character Meenakshi won the accolades of both fans and critica.
She is proud of her girl-next-door looks and wants to do character roles with a good mixture of glamour and scope for performance. She even refused to act in a Telugu film of Krishnavamsi.
